New Projects Started At the Vermont Studio Center

So I am about 1/3 of the way done with this sculpture. But here it is right before my month long residency was finished. My goal is to get this done by November...
What started with 88 pieces of 18" wool roving, transformed into 264 3"x5" needle felted rectangle pieces, then they got divided at a diagonal into 526 triangles and then all needle pieced together to make this...

Some Sketches I am working with. 

New Projects out of the Vermont Studio Center

These are images for my inspiration and motivation for the new series I am working on.
The grouping of images is more about the holographic exploration of the aura and the existence of an invisible flexible outer sensory layer that exists with all living things.  There are also images of fashionable coats made by Irving Pen, as well as a photograph by Sarah Moon.  I was fortunate to sumble upon a book about Vienna at the turn of the centry and discovered some Gustab Klimt designs made for his models to wear when he painted them.  And or course there is my own scribblings and ramblings to make sense of how all of these things fit together...
